What was I thinking?

It's been said ~ A new identity means a new mentality, and a new mentality means a new destiny.

It's true!  We have the power to change our present circumstances and our future outcomes ~ by changing the way we think. At the core of how we think, is who we think we are.

I love what Paul states in Romans 12:2.  He's not talking about thinking positive thoughts, or happy thoughts ~ but about aligning our thoughts with God's word; who He says we are, and what He says we can do.  It means being changed from a caterpillar into a butterfly.  Permanently ~ no going back!

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.   Romans 12:2 NLT

Here it is from the Message Bible

It's a process and will require hard work, but we can do it!
 Isn't He good to us!

  4. Thank you Susy, we all run around trying to be God instead of sitting back and letting him have the Kingship. Thank you for the reminded... xx

  5. Oh Susy, you have hit on something I DO need to work on. I will have this to go back to as a reminder every day. I must look into this Message Bible. I really GOT the message presented that way. I just finished the Bible in a Year and must say, even though I am glad I got through it, a lot went over my head or in and out of my head. You have a way of bringing out the important message in the word too, so that I can understand. Thanks for caring enough to post it.

  6. The Bible says "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." This is so true. We need to think the right things. I like the butterfly example.
