Roseville Pottery

This post is getting double duty.  I've already shared it for Vee's Note Card Party, using a few photos of Roseville pottery that found their way into my posts.

And now it's my entry for Claudia's Favorite Thing Saturday.  Claudia has several beautiful pieces of Roseville, so I think she's going to like this one (**

My love for Roseville started with a vase given to me by my sister, probably 40 years ago.  Back then, it wasn't hard to come by a nice piece for a fair price.

My collection comes in all shapes and sizes

 

and is sprinkled all over the house

Although Roseville Pottery was founded in 1890

my pieces are primarily from the 30's and 40's

My Favorite piece, by far, is this lime green

Apple Blossom Ewer.

What's For Breakfast?

I love my old Wagner skillet.  I couldn't begin to guess how many miles it has on it.  It belonged to my sis, and holds a special place in my heart ~ as well as my kitchen.

It's perfect for sauteing veges, or crisping up quesadilla.

 

And I love breakfast.  I could eat it three times a day.

 

One of my go-to breakfasts is spinach scramble ~ 

 green onion, mushrooms, tomatoe, and olives 

sauteed in olive oil with diced Canadian bacon.

I spice it up with salt, pepper and garlic,

add a combo of eggs and egg beaters or egg whites, 

and top it with a light sprinkling of feta cheese.

Add wholewheat toast and you have a grand meal.

Some things never go out of style...

like a good ol' cast iron skillet, or an easy-peasy recipe.

They're my favorite things today!
