SEED SOWERS ~
A wise man once told me, "Your life goes where your mouth leads you".
Did you now that your words are like seeds. In fact they are seeds, and the soil they are planted in is our heart. Words are powerful ~ they can build up or tear down, be a blessing or a curse, shape our future and determine our destiny.
It's important to consider three things
- what we say about ourselves
- what we speak over the lives of others
- what's been spoken over us
As harvest time approaches, I'm considering the seeds that have been planted in the field of my heart ~ just checkin' to make sure they're going to produce a good crop.

Where are your words leading you?

So true! I know I have to be conscious of the words I say, but hadn't thought about the words spoken over me. Thank you for this reminder!
ReplyDeletewords like seeds...I want my words to grow into awesome incredble things...that empower me and others to live our best lives. Thanks for this Susy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these reminder about words. It is important.
ReplyDeleteMy desire is that my words be used to encourage. In our world where evil abounds, I want my words to produce life. I like this Potting bench series, Susy. So needed.
ReplyDeleteSusy, I love this post. It's so, so true. Whatever we sow, we will reap -- good, bad or ugly. Thanks for that reminder.
ReplyDeleteHi, your comment on Nikki's latest post caught my attention. Scrolled down a bit to read some of what you've written. This post about words as seeds is so true, I too believe very much in the power of words. Well, it's amazing but I love cats, too (as well as dogs), and the song I Believe is still one of my all time favorite songs (two others I really love are When You Walk Through A Storm, and Bridge Over Troubled Waters). Your story about the girl in an accident touched my heart. I want to meet her in heaven someday.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know I came by. Blessings on your day.

Wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteHello again,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. In what city are Mike and Ethyl based here in the Philippines? I live in Bacolod City, but frequently visit my daughter in Manila.
Blessings

Hello Susy the photo of the tree arbor is so special. And yes, our words are seeds..we all need to take care what we say.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully conveyed and illustrated!
ReplyDeleteI wrote this poem back in 1996 when this truth really became clear to me.
WORDS
By spoken words we shape our world,
Confessions– good or bad– unfurled;
With life and death in the power of the tongue,
By simple words, we’re “sprung” or “hung.”
God’s Word provides the “soul” solution
To cleanse and filter “thought” pollution;
For ultimately the words we speak
Are fashioned by the words we seek.
