It's Up to Us...

For some, the world has stopped.  For a community the processing of an unfathomable evil, that will shape their future, has just begun.

For the rest of us ~ we cry, we pray, we care from the bottom of our hearts.

I believe the tragedy of Newtown is a clarion call to the watchmen.  Be alert, be vigilant.  Pray for families, schools, churches, and your city.  Prayer walk your neighborhood and your school yards and set a hedge of protection around them.

Make Psalm 91 your address and your declaration.

  1. Before I retired from teaching a small group from a Baptist church in our town would walk around each building on Saturday praying. Very comforting.

    I love that verse.

  2. I am feeling that call as well. Something is terribly, terribly wrong right now in our country. I am enjoying visiting people from Spiritual Sunday and seeing what the Lord is laying on their hearts through this tragedy.

  3. You have a way with words Susy; your faith & compassion is so evident. It is indeed a very sad time as we send our prayers across the ocean to those in need too.
