Who doesn't love bubble baths?
It's my favorite thing this week, and boy have I been getting some mileage out of this ol' tub.
It's my favorite thing this week, and boy have I been getting some mileage out of this ol' tub.
Yesterday I spent several hours helping set up
for our church's Women's Christmas event.
At the end of the day,
a long soak was the perfect remedy for my aches and pains.
I had fun recently, decorating the shelf that
hangs over the tub.
As I pulled out the decorations for the Christmas tree,
I set aside a few things for the shelf.
I already have red walls, so it doesn't take much
to make it Christmas-y.
(he looks unhappy)
my cute li'l Make A Wish snowman
this vase and flowers were already there,
all by their lonesome.
I just added some artificial eucalyptus
(spell check please)
btw, everything is tacked down with
Quakehold (** this is California after all
I hope the season has been merry and bright for you so far!

If I had a beautiful bath like that, believe me, I'd be in it! How sweet. Your shelf is delightful and the walls...so pretty. Hope that those old aches and pains have been chased right back out the door. A pleasant evening to you...
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful spa like bathroom! I love the vintage look!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
I really, really like your tub. My grandmother had one like your ...only without all your lovely things.
ReplyDeleteWow-- how lucky! My only bathroom is so small, my only accessory is a garbage can!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot to take a bath. I do love those old, deep bathtubs.
ReplyDeleteBalisha
The bathroom is beautiful! I have a tub just like that, and I think it needs a little attention, now that I look at yours. :-) Thank you for stopping in at Cranberry Morning!
ReplyDeleteSusy, your tub is dreamy and I love those deep red walls. xo, Olive

Oh how I have always wanted a Claw Foot tub. I have one, but it is old and holding water for the horses...really.
ReplyDeleteI love your whole bathroom. I had a red bath with beadboard in our house. The shelf is so sweet all holidayed up. Glad you can take some time to soak...sounds wonderful right now.
My grandmother had a tub with feet, as we called it. I love your bathroom. Mine is lime green and vintage. I haven't made up my mind wether it's ugly or nice. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a tub person too, and this looks like a piece of Christmas Heaven!
ReplyDeleteIt would be hard getting me out of that wonderful tub with red walls to look at. You did a great job of putting Christmas in the bath. At our old house, I decorated EVERY room including the bathrooms. With our children grown, we go on a family vacation as a present so I do much less decorating.
ReplyDeleteSusy - Am so envious of your clawfoot tub!! I'd love to have one of those. Also love your red walls in the bathroom. Ready for the holidays.

Hello Susy
ReplyDeleteOh I would be very happy in your lovely bathroom all dressed for Christmas!
I've never thought of bringing Christmas into my bathroom - Although I always have a Christmas theme in the loo by way of the guest towel, soap and toilet paper!!! Is this weird or what?!?!
Just found your lovely blog via Claudia and I'm now your newest follower.
Please do come and visit me - even though I live a long way from LA in the South Pacific it's only a click of your mouse!

I was going to say you have a Christmas bathroom! It looks so pretty and a long tub soak does wonders for our aches and pains and always gives me a better night's sleep.
