I was moved by this little video that carries a big message. It's about
kids in Paraguay that play instruments made from discarded trash from the
city dump."When I listen to the sound of a violin, I feel butterflies in my stomach." ~ Ada

Good Afternoon Susy, My word, this was a moving post. An orchestra whose instruments are made up of items which we throw away in our rubbish. It really makes me stop and think about what I throw away.
ReplyDeleteFor my nephew's 5th birthday, he and his friends went to a recycling house, there were plastic bottles, cardboard tubes, all manner of things which are discarded. (They were all clean). The children had the most marvellous time, painting cereal boxes, gluing plastic bottles together to make back packs. The children were laughing and playing and being really creative. My niece said every child had a wonderful time, because they were using their imagination and being creative.
I am going to pass the clip onto my niece.
Best Wishes
Daphne
It's amazing isn't it? Living in another country taught me think before throwing things away. Where we lived the toys the children made out of what we would consider trash were just incredible.
