Fresh Starts

I've been on a kind of self-imposed hiatus from social media.  All is well; it was lots of work and needed re-prioritizing that kept me away.  But, things have leveled off again, so Pizza Man and I were able to spend a few days at our fishing camp in the California desert.

He worked some, laying stepping stones along one side of the cabin

"Smile for the camera."  "I am smiling, take the picture!"

The next day we hit the dusty trail to the lake

He fished, I read a book and worked on a lesson plan on my iPad

The sunshine, fresh air, and reprieve from the internet and cellphones
was quite restorative

I came home feeling invigorated for the season ahead

Thanks to all you sweeties that inquired of me during my silence.
It's nice to be missed (**

Counting My Blessings,
xo Susy

  1. "I am smiling..." Gosh, I've heard that before. What a nice retreat and it's out in the middle of the desert? Interesting. I think a hiatus is a mighty fine idea from time to time, though it is good to see you back!

  9. It's good to get away, and I did wonder about you.. :-) Glad all is well and that you feel refreshed. We also were away and came back to lots of work, but it's still good to have had that time away. Sort of stores up some renewal. Or something like that!

  10. Your cabin looks like the perfect place to recharge. Loving seeing your Pizza Man too for the first time. Great that you two had some time away and can enjoy doing what each of you love. Reading would be my choice over fishing too.LOL
