This is the third month I've joined the Note Card Party by Vee at
A Haven for Vee.
The rules are simple ~ post 4 pictures from previous posts that you think would make a nice note card. Link up, link back, and then go a-visitin'.
This month I chose birds. I have birds everywhere throughout my house, not unlike many of you (:
When I started blogging I naively thought I was somewhat unique in my love
for all things bird-twiggy-nest-feathery.

Now I know better (:
In fact, it may be an unspoken prerequisite
"love blogging, love birds"
and the garden, and tea, and reading
and fur babies
This last one is a picture from one of my
favorite posts God Chix
I've learned a few things about blogging since then,
but one thing that hasn't changed is my real "peeps"
They were here last night until nearly midnight.
Seventeen of us laughing and crying, singing,
sharing our hearts and praying for each other.
In this day and age, I think that's very noteworthy too.
Counting My Blessings,
xo Susy
I'm flitting over toVee's
come join the fun!

Hi there Susy - Nice to meet you! Love all your bird cards. Especially the pie birds - they are so cute.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I visited So Cal last September for the first time ever - we loved it! Now we know why people want to live there! We visited LA and the Tar Pits and some of the mission trail. It was was one of our favorite vacations!
Great choices for the note card party. I find the embroidery piece particularly charming. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery is a closeup of a tea towel on my stove handle. A gift purchased from Anthropology.
DeleteYour bird collection is very unusual. I love the bluebirds in the top photo, but they are all charming.
ReplyDeleteI agree that there is a great deal of birdy love out there and I am a life member! I was like you when I started blogging. I did not realize how many shared my passions. Blogging has brought many new kindred souls into my life.
ReplyDeleteYes, you should be able to change your banner. Open your Layout window and you should be able to click to the right of your banner.
Love, hugs, and mush,
Karen
are those salt & pepper shakers? too cute. i love your picks. birds. fun!! (:
ReplyDeleteThe black and white birds are pie birds. Alas the white one has since been broken ~ by my real bird that flew onto the shelf and bumped it off.
DeleteI had to go back and learn more about those peeps. They are so cute. I'm glad that the God Chix are still meeting. What an astute observation...most of the bloggers I know really do love birds indoors and out. Loved this set!
ReplyDeleteOh what sweet note cards! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteAll of your photos would make beautiful note cards, the embroidery would be my favorite with the pie birds a close second.
ReplyDeleteI was so touched by your thoughts on family, How inspiring to read of a family praying together. I have always heard that a family that prays together stays together..
blessings,
Sue
Hello, I'm here from Vee's Notecard party. Your notecards are lovely. I'm a birdlover, too, and it's fun to meet others. I agree that bloggers share many of the same interests! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love birds too ... inside and outside!! Fun selection for Vee's Party!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your bird-themed note cards! (And the "noteworthy" thoughts about your peeps. ~smile~)
ReplyDeleteYour house sounds a lot like mine... birds and bird nests everywhere. So, it's only natural that I LOVE your notecards :). One of my favorite things about blogland is knowing I'm not alone in my quirky decorating.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the last one, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am a bird lover so this theme is right up my alley. :) I love the embroidered bird. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love these fun posts! Great photos too!
ReplyDeleteYou are right...I'm a blogger, I love birds. Loved your notecards, but the God Chix have got to be the best. I somehow missed that post and had to go check it out. I loved it. The last paragraph in your post brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Reminded me of my group of ladies who came to my home for 5 yrs. in Tehachapi. We had many of those nights. Seventeen...you had a house full.
