At the Last Minute

My post this week wasn't of a spiritual nature, so I hadn't planned to connect to Spiritual Sunday.  But when I came to visit the others, I felt like I had skipped church.  So I guess better late than not at all.  I'm sharing what I posted on Facebook earlier this week.

Love them.  Pierced, tattooed, stinky, mean, greedy, stingy, silly, selfish, foolish, failed, fearful, arrogant, ignorant, dis-oriented, different, diseased, confused, controlling, conspicuous, disinterested.  Dead in their sin.  Love them.

John 15:12
And this is My command, that you love one another even as I have loved you.

I'm joining my friends at Spiritual Sunday

  2. Hi Susy, LOVE was the focus of the sermon today at church. We are indeed called to love those that are different from us. Glad you posted this for Spiritual Sunday!

  3. Such a inspiring post. Where my challenge in loving others is when fear of the unknown creeps in. We all benefit so much from Spiritual Sunday's. Have a blessed week.

  5. Loving the unlovely isn't always easy, but when we commit to do it, God grants us grace, and more grace!

  9. You're right. Better late than never. I've heard this saying all my life. I'm glad you decided to share. It is so important that we love those who are unlovely. Thank you for sharing.

  10. This weekend our church hosted "Touched Twice", a free clinic for families in need. We had over 450 guests...I was one of the photographers taking photos for the families to have. Some were more loveable than others, but God said to love them...and we did. Glad you posted this.
